A Note About Digestion:

Your digestive tract plays an important role in all aspects of our health. Through this system we receive all nutrients necessary for function and life as we know it.

However, think about this…

Even if we are eating the most nutritious diet possible, but are not breaking down the foods properly, due to inadequate stomach acid (hydrochloric acid (HCl)) levels, we won’t be able to actually assimilate all the nutrients from the food. On the flip side, with adequate stomach acid levels, extra mechanisms occur that help us to better break down our meals and extract the nutrients inside.

The following drink recipe will get your digestive fire roaring, please be sure to drink approximately 30 minutes before main meals.

Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV):
When you drink apple cider vinegar regularly, ideally before each main meal, your digestion improves due to a stimulation to your stomach acid. Regular use of apple cider vinegar is believed to fix low stomach acid levels and surprisingly actually help reduce heartburn.
NOTE: Apple cider vinegar is very potent. The primary ingredient known as acetic acid is quite acidic. Therefore, it is important to remember to dilute ACV with water before consuming. Taking apple cider vinegar straight could damage your tooth enamel or tissue along mouth/throat and will most likely be too strong for those suffering from heartburn, especially those with ulcers, so ensure you are diluting well.
BUYERS TIP: I recommend purchasing apple cider vinegar in glass containers, or the vinegar may contain chemicals that have leached out of the plastic.

Lemon Juice: Lemon has traditional been known as a digestive tonic due to it role in stimulating and detoxing the liver (important for fat digestion). Lemon juice also supports digestive hydrochloric acid in the stomach.

Stevia: For some guilt-free sweetness.

Filtered or Spring Water: For hydration and to dilute the acidity of the ACV and Lemon.
